History

The HeroPreneur National Veterans Business Summit powered by HeroZona.

HeroZona

With the mission: Empowering and Celebrating America’s Veterans in Arizona, HeroZona began in 2016 as a vision by U.S. Army Veteran, Alan “AP” Powell, to create and curate experiences that are focused towards the veteran community which benefit them through Entrepreneurship, Education and Employment.  HeroZona’s goal is to promote the support that Arizona’s communities and corporations offer to the veteran community and bring attention at a local and national level.

In 2017, with the help from community leaders like U.S. Senator John McCain, Arizona Governor Doug Ducey, Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton and Col. Wanda Wright (USAF R) Director of Arizona Department of Vetarans’ Services, HeroZona went from a vision to a reality. The inaugural HeroZona experience, in support of American’s veterans including Arizona’s 640,000 veterans, took place in Phoenix, Arizona.

HeroPreneur

After serving in the U.S. military and protecting our great country, many veterans successfully transitioned the skills and values learned during their time in service into owning and operating their own businesses or enterprises. These Heroes, these HeroPreneurs, went from serving the country as a whole to serving, enriching, and adding tremendous value to the communities they returned home to.

Based on this premise we created – HeroPreneur National Veteran Business Summit powered by HeroZona to continue empowering these heroes. This multi-day event features panels and programming that focuses on three pillars – EntrepreneurshipEmployment and Education.

At this event we also have the HeroPreneur awards, recognizing veterans, community members and organizations that support veterans.
