The HeroZona Foundation Announces Return of the 8th Annual Honor Walk in 2019

2018 Walk Rescheduled to Next Year

Due to scheduling conflict issues, the HeroZona Foundation has announced that the 8th Annual Honor Walk, formerly scheduled for Saturday, November 11th, 2018, has been canceled. The walk to honor America’s veterans who have served the country in the armed services will return in 2019.

Those looking to honor the nation’s veterans can still participate in the HeroZona Foundation’s weeklong experiences, starting on Saturday, November 10, with the 7th annual Forgotten Heroes Appreciation Breakfast. The breakfast will take place at the Travis L. Williams American Legion Post 65 to honor those who have served the country.

Following the HeroZona Foundation’s Forgotten Heroes Breakfast on Saturday, November 10, the ASU VS. UCLA Salute to Service Football Game will honor eight exceptional individuals for their support of U.S. veterans. The event will be hosted by Arizona Public Service, the HeroZona Foundation and the Department of Veterans Services.

The Honoring Arizona’s Veterans Phoenix Veterans Day Parade will be another opportunity to show support to Arizona’s veterans for the 100th Anniversary of Veterans Day. The Phoenix Veterans Day Parade is the 4th largest Veterans Parade in attendance in the United States. Out of respect to local church services, the 2018 Phoenix Veterans Day Parade will be held the day after Veterans Day, on Monday, November 12, at 11 a.m. The parade starts at Montebello and Central Avenues running southbound and then will turn east onto Camelback Road, South on Seventh Street and will de-stage at Indian School Road.

The HeroZona Foundation’s HeroPreneur National Veteran Business Summit, a three day engagement, will then return to Phoenix from November 13 through November 16 to empower veterans through entrepreneurship, education, and careers. It is spearheaded by HeroZona and Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services, in conjunction with State of Arizona, City of Phoenix and Arizona Corporate CouncilThe U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs will also be at HeroPreneur hosting workshops for large companies, small veteran owned businesses and veterans interested in contracting government and earning certification.
